First of all you need to create a folder to put the plugins into.

To do this, open Windows Explorer, open the program files by double clicking on the program files folder in the right hand window of explorer. Select Paintshop Pro from the files this usually comes under the heading of JASC. Double click on the folder to open it.

Once the PSP folder is open in the right hand side of Windows Explorer, double click on the extras folder. Once the extras folder is open, in a blank space in the right hand window right click and select New -> Folder. Rename this folder "Plugins". Click Enter/carriage return.

Next thing is to download and install them.

Close Windows Explorer and open Internet Explorer and select a web site to download from. http://www.psphelp.com  has links to many sites, also a good place is http://www.flamingpear.com there are many others.

Once you have found a site and decided on which plugin you want, select download. A pop-up window will appear, select save to disc. You will then be prompted were to save them. Select Program Files ->Jasc->paintshop Pro and double-click on the plugins folder, then click OK.

Then sit back while it downloads.......

Most plugins come zipped, so you will need to unzip them. Open the download and WinZip will automatically open. Use the wizard to help you unzip them, by selecting the wizard. Just follow the instructions on screen. the only other thing you need to do is name the folder in which you want the plugin to be installed C:\ProgramFiles\Paintshoppro\plugins(the name of the plugin)".

Sometimes the plugin will not work, this is due the your machine needing to be restarted.
